Technical requirements for ABBCareer

When using ABBCareer, please note the following:

ABBCareer runs in the following browsers:

If you are using any other browser, the usability of the application can not be guranteed. In case of any problems, please let us know by contacting our Technical Support.

If you are using a popup blocker, please accept www.abb.com/* for popups or deactivate your popup blocker while working in ABBCareer.
Note: Popup blockers can be seperate programs (i.e. yahoo! bar/ google bar) or be part of your browser (i.e. IE 6/ SP2).


IE 6/ SP2

Select: Tools -> Internet Options -> Privacy


Option 1: unselect "Block pop-ups" and select "OK". Now, all pop-ups will be accepted.

Option 2: Select "Settings":


Allow *.abb.com or *.abb.country and select "Add". Select "Close" and select "OK".


Firefox / version 1.0

Select: Tools -> Options -> Web Features


Option 1: unselect "Block Popup Windows" and select "OK". Now, all pop-ups will be accepted.

Option 2: Select "Allowed Sites":


Allow *.abb.com or *.abb.country and select "Allow". Select "OK" and select "OK".

Google Bar:

Select "Options":



Please make sure your browser is JavaScript enabled. Otherwise you will not be able to work in ABBCareer.


IE 6 / version 6. x

Select: Tools -> Internet Options -> Custom level...



Scripting -> Enable

Firefox / version 1.0

Select: Tools -> Options -> Web Features
